Electricity has gotten expensive. The quickest and simplest way to save electricity is to turn power-hungry equipment off when you don't need it. That's why we created a network of AI-Enabled Smart Plugs that knows when to turn power off and back on without getting in the way. Doing so, we empower facility managers to take control of plug load and unlock new pathways to energy saving.

The leeching of electricity (“phantom load”) from idle equipment has been a widely recognized problem. We started off tackling this issue with backing and support from the Department of Energy, Berkeley National Lab, New York State Energy Research Development Authority, and the Exelon Climate Change Foundation. What we found after measuring thousands of appliances in homes, schools, hotels, gyms, and offices is that equipment is often left fully on overnight, weekends, breaks, and holidays. This energy waste is far greater than phantom load. Our approach is rooted is data-driven and backed by science.

Installation is quick and easy with our mobile app— less than one minute per plug. It can be done during operational hours, but to ensure the least disruption possible, low traffic times or outside operating hours is best.

Absolutely! Demand-response is a great way to save both energy and money. We’re happy to work with you to optimize your equipment for such times. 

At this time, Revert’s smart plugs are designed for indoor use only.

In the rare instance that WiFi or LoRa gateway goes down, the plugs are unable to connect to our portal, and therefore are unable to operate on their usual schedules. However, the plug will continue to allow power to pass through, ensuring your equipment is on when needed.

Any time you need power outside of scheduled hours, simply use our “Special Events” function in the portal to align with your scheduling needs.

You have two ways to override the plug’s schedule: either press the power button on the smart plug itself, or turn it on from the mobile app or online portal. This is something everyone can do, no escalation or after-hours calls required.

Yes! Our online portal has a “Buildings” feature that allows you to assign plugs to certain rooms, floors, or other facilities.

Yes! You can add anyone with an email address as “admin,” “member,” or “view only.” The difference between admin and member? Only admins can add others to the account!
