Why plug load management?

Electricity costs have surged across the nation. The quickest and simplest way to save electricity is to turn electronics off when they are not needed. However, such behavior is hard to enforce, especially in the commercial sector. Those who work or study in the building do not see the utility bill, let alone pay for it. Meanwhile, it is impractical to dedicate a person to unplug things across large spaces. Hence, we created the Revert Smart Plug. Install once and it becomes the forcing function to routinely power things off and save.

Where to apply the Revert Smart Plugs depends on what's in your facility, how you operate, and the electricity rate. Not every equipment needs a plug. Rather, we focus only on the best bang for buck, which differs across schools, offices, gyms, hotels, and labs. We work closely with facility and IT teams to identify the applications. The Revert Smart Plugs are individually calibrated during production to ANSI C12.1 - 2024 class 0.5, which means each has the same accuracy as that of a building electric meter. Moreover, the load we measure are in real power terms, after adjusting for power factors. We also maintain 3rd party certifications on the metering accuracy. These rigorous quality control procedures not only classify Revert Smart Plugs as revenue grade meters but also assure you that our measurements can be trusted. After establishing the baseline power load of each equipment, we keep a log of the hours the equipment is kept OFF to compute the savings and convert the resulting kilowatt-hour saved to dollars by your electricity rate.
